Abstract

Enalapril and enalapril/hydrochlorothiazide are effective in treating mild to moderate essential hypertension, and efficacy has been demonstrated for up to 48 weeks. The frequency of adverse clinical effects was similar in all three treatment groups, and serious adverse clinical effects were rare.
