Abstract
Two patients taking oral Premarin experienced recurrent abdominal pain severe enough to warrant surgical intervention. The symptoms resolved after intramuscular estrogen therapy was instituted. This rare, idiosyncratic reaction to oral Premarin should be considered in patients who have recurrent, episodic, burning pelvic or midabdominal pain that resolves when oral Premarin therapy is discontinued. The etiology remains obscure.Entities:
