Abstract
Experiments on frogs showed that intensive synaptic activation of spinal cord motoneurons leads to their pycnotic corrugation. Preliminary deep narcotization prevents the appearance of these pathological changes in cell structure. It was also established that for a deeper anesthesia of intact animals the decrease in the excitability of the spinal centers and loss of the motoneurons' capacity to generate synaptic and spike potentials in response to stimulation are not attended by a change in neuron size or structure.Entities:
