[Inflammatory reaction proteins. Concept of the protein profile].

R Engler.

Abstract

The classification and the principal properties of acute phase reactants are given. No acute phase protein constitutes an ideal marker of inflammation. A mini-profile for the monitoring of acute phase reactions is proposed. Orosomucoid and CRP can be measured in neonates while Haptoglobin, Orosomucoid and CRP are helpful in child and adult.
