Abstract
A large sample of men and women between the ages of 20 and 79 years were given specially devised, adult-relevant tests of vocabulary and information as well as portions of the ABLE test of educational achievement. The familiar pattern of decline with age was found in the ABLE subtests, but not in the adult-relevant tests, which lends support to the position that age trends in tests of cognitive abilities depend significantly upon test contents.Entities:
