[Medical treatment of venous thromboembolism (author's transl)].

J C van de Loo.

Abstract

In view of recent developments in thrombolytic therapy and in vascular surgery, practical treatment schedules are proposed for both superficial and deep venous thromboses of the leg and acute pulmonary embolism. The optimal selection and combination of physical, medical, and surgical measures are advocated.
