Multiple intramedullary nailing of pertrochanteric fractures with elastic nails: operative procedure and results.

J Poigenfürst, P Schnabl.

Abstract

Two hundred and sixty-six pertrochanteric fractures were operated on using intramedullary fixation according to the method of Ender and Simon-Weidner. Evaluation of both early and late results prove it to be a method with a low complication rate and a high incidence of functional recovery.
