Abstract
The ultrastructure of the human antral G cells was examined in gastrobiopsies of 7 healthy volunteers fasting 24 to 240 hours. In contrast to the animals gastric C cells during fasting, the dissolution of the substance of gastrin granules (but not emiocytosis of granules) was observed in the human antral G cells during long fasting. The authors consider the possibility of artificially inducing the dissolution of the substance of the granules only the technique of gastrobiopsy itself.Entities:
