Abstract
Mature male and female gametocytes of Eimeria tenella, a coccidium of the chicken ceca, developed in primary cultures of chick embryonic kidney cells inoculated with sporozoites. Immature gametocytes appeared in the cultures after approximately 144 hours of incubation at 41 degrees C. Mature micro-and macrogametes were present from 160 to 190 hours after inoculation.Entities:
