Abstract
Twenty-four patients contracted systemic infections with Acinetobacter calcoaceticus during a four-month period. Unheated room humidifiers at the patients' bedsides were implicated as the source of infection in six. The outbreak was terminated with the removal of the humidifers.Entities:
