Abstract
There have been few descriptions of spontaneous epidural hematoma of the spinal cord in children. Duration of symptoms in previous cases has varied from hours to days. We recently evaluated a 6-year-old girl with cord compression from an extradural clot, who complained of thoracic back pain for 3 months before becoming paraplegic. Our experience suggests that spontaneous epidural bleeding may be responsible for episodic back pain and cord compression in children.Entities:
