[Acute anuria due to renal candidiasis in infants (author's transl)].

D Weitzel, H Stopfkuchen, S Blagojevic.

Abstract

There are reports here on three cases of renal candidiasis in infancy which after predisposing factors suddenly led to a deterioration in the general state, to a considerable enlargement of the kidneys and to the occurrence of an anuria. The pecularities of the course as well as a conservative treatment success using 5 fluorcytosin are reported on. The pathogenesis of the illness is discussed.
