Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in Hodgkin's disease: a rare occurrence of no prognostic significance.

J R Cohen.

Abstract

Six patients with Hodgkin's disease who developed idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) are presented. In contrast to prior cases reported in the literature, none of these patients developed recurrent Hodgkin's disease at the time of or subsequent to their thrombocytopenia, with follow-up data available up to 10 years. ITP does not necessarily imply recurrent or active malignancy.
