Abstract
The efforts of the Louisiana State University School of Medicine Library were channeled in the direction of overcoming obstacles; time, funds, space, staffing, and other problems that happen daily in preparing library facilities for the first class. Fortunately, however, these obstacles were minimized by a very co-operative and understanding administration and faculty. THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM RECOMMENDATIONS OFFERED FROM THE EXPERIENCES GAINED IN DEVELOPING A LIBRARY FOR OPENING DAY ARE: [List: see text]Naturally, these recommendations will vary, depending upon location, size of entering class, and the anticipated completion date of the new facilities.Mesh:
