Abstract
Further clinical and operative support is presented for Dandy's discovery in 1929 of the presence of accessory sensory fibres of the fifth cranial nerve, running a separate course from the main sensory root at its exit from the pons. The advantages are stressed of Dandy's subcerebellar approach in selected cases for sparing those fibres as well as the motor root.Mesh:
