[Feline hepatozoonosis (author's transl)].

Abstract

The pressure of the gametes of the protozoon parasite Hepatazoon in the blood of a domestic cat is recorded for the first time in South Africa. Clinical symptoms which may have been associated with the infection are described. The animal recovered after treatment with primaquine and oxytetracycline.
