Reconstruction of osseous rupture of posterior cruciate ligament.

P Galle.

Abstract

UNLABELLED: Osseous avulsion of the posterior cruciate ligament from the articular surface of the tibia requires surgical treatment. If the avulsed fragment is large enough, fixation by means of two crossed drill wires exiting on the extensor surface of the tibia is the recommended treatment. Advantages of this method: a) technically simple operation; b) wires can be removed in the outpatient department under local anesthesia. CASE REPORTS: five patients were operated on, all of them with good results.
