Abstract
Procedures for the determination of equilibrium constants of linear and helical associations based on molecular weight data have been derived. Theoretical construction of curves for M(1)/M(wapp) vs. C reveals two clearly identifiable patterns for linear and helical association. The change in molecular conformation between linear and helical association is evidenced by a recurring pattern of irregular curves which obviously differ from those of an indefinite stacking model.Mesh:
