Reciprocal rhythm of ventricular origin during atrial fibrillation with complete AV block.

L Schamroth.

Abstract

A case of reciprocal rhythm of ventricular origin associated with atrial fibrillation and complete AV block is described. This manifestation shows that an atrial bridge is not an essential link in the reciprocal mechanism, and that the reciprocal mechanism is effected through the presence of an upper common AV nodal pathway.
