Abstract
In 26 patients with carcinoma of the prostate (CaP) the histochemical and histological characteristics of the tumour were compared with the clinical course in both untreated patients and in those receiving hormonal therapy. In the control group 16 patients with BPH were examined in the same way. It was found that histological types of CaP cannot be identified by grading. Higher frequency of very strong LDH activity in CaP was the only distinction against BPH.Entities:
