Abstract
The complications that have been seen when hydrophilic lenses are cared for by chemical decontamination are reviewed. The findings that help to differentiate lens-induced changes from chemical-care-produced changes are presented. Incompatibilities between care methods are illustrated. The complications are discussed in terms of changes produced in the cornea, conjunctiva, flora of the cul-de-sac, and lens.Mesh:
