Adsorption of antineoplastic drugs to polyalkylcyanoacrylate nanoparticles and their release in calf serum.

Abstract

Conditions are described for attaching anticancer drugs to polyalkylcyanoacrylate nanoparticles, a new drug delivery system for cells that exhibit endocytic uptake. They are ultrafine, metabolizable, and able to associate with various drugs in a nonspecific manner. Data are given for the in vitro degradation and for drug release from this new drug carrier system.
