Abstract
The Author reports 2 cases presenting vertebro-basilar insufficiency. In the first one, surgery was interrupted due to the hyperflexed positioning of the head which caused cardiorespiratory disorders and increased vertebro-basilar insufficiency. In the second case the patient, placed in a different position, survived the operation. The postoperative angiographic control confirmed the disobstruction of the vertebral flow at the level of the malformation. Electromyography detected the presence of innervation of tongue muscles.Entities:
