Microsurgical anatomy of the anterior choroidal artery.

Abstract

The anatomy of the anterior choroidal artery was studied in 25 adult brains (50 cerebral hemispheres). The point of origin and the distribution of this artery were determined. The surgical and clinical implications of these findings are discussed.
