Abstract
Roentgenographic examination of the sternum is particularly difficult and offers little clinical assistance in the early stage of acute osteomyelitis. With only a few cases of primary sternal osteomyelitis reported, there are almost no data available regarding the role of bone scan in the diagnosis of this lesion. The present case illustrates the usefulness of the scan both in diagnosis and management of sternal osteomyelitis.Entities:
