Extravasation of contrast-enhanced blood into the subarachnoid space during computed tomography.

D P Kingsley, B E Kendall, T Greitz, R D Hoare.

Abstract

Four cases are described in which there was extravasation of contrast medium into the subarachnoid space at the time of enhanced CT. Three were being investigated for a previous subarachnoid haemorrhage which was due to an aneurysm in two and an angioma in one. The other patient had suffered a severe head injury.
