Ethambutol-mediated alterations in ribonucleic acid components of Mycobacterium smegmatis.

J Bacalao, M Rieber.

Abstract

Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of ribonucleic acid (RNA) components from Mycobacterium smegmatis exposed to ethambutol shows that the early effect of the drug produces a selective alteration of some RNA species, suggestive of a noncoordinate control of RNA metabolism.
