Observations on replication and cell division in synchronous cultures of the blue-green alga Anacystis nidulans.

M Herdman, N G Carr.

Abstract

A second synchrony induction treatment, half-way through the deoxyribonucleic acid replication process of an already synchronized culture, resulted in defective subsequent cell growth. This supports a previous explanation for the partial loss of viability after synchrony induction.
