Reprecipitation during the preparation of demineralized sections. I. Histochemical and X-ray diffraction observations.

R M Browne, S L Rowles.

Abstract

The histological features of reprecipitation artefacts occasionally present in demineralized sections of teeth and bone are described. X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that they are crystalline and composed of secondary calcium phosphates.
