Chylous cyst of the mesentery of the tranverse colon. Report of a case.

Abstract

Chylous cysts are medical rarities found mainly in the mesentary of the small intestine and the retroperitoneal space. Other localities are extremely rare and difficult to explain. A case of chylous cyst of the mesentery of the transverse colon is presented with brief review of the literature. The etiologic, pathogenetic and clinical features, diagnosis and treatment is discussed.
