Direct selection for transduction of suppressor mutations and linkage of supD to fla genes in Salmonella.

D B Fankhauser, P E Hartman.

Abstract

A general method is presented for the direct selection of transductional clones of Salmonella containing suppressor mutations. The supD locus is about 40% cotransducible with the closest fla markers examined. The probable map order is: supD501-(flaD42-flaB36)-(flaA41-flaA37).
