The use of the Vidal-Adrey external fixation system. Part 1: The treatment of open fractures.

Abstract

The average time for healing of open fractures treated by the Vidal-Adrey external fixation method was 9 1/2 months for the lower extremity and 4 months for the upper extremity injuries. In a series of 33 cases, the results were excellent or good in 21.
