Abstract
Of 102 members of two families living in the Baie Verte Peninsula, Newfoundland, 39 were found to have familial hyperlipoproteinemia. Their family trees were traced for six generations, and altered lipid patterns were detected in children as young as 8 years of age. Consanguineous marriages were noted in both families. Two cases of hypobetalipoproteinemia were found in siblings.Entities:
