Hyocholic acid as internal standard for quantitation of human fecal bile acids.

Abstract

After hyocholate is added to a fecal homogenate, the bile acids are extracted, purified by thin-layer chromatography, and quantitated by gas-liquid chomatography as methyl ester trifluoroacetates on QF-1 columns.
