Abstract
Transitory oedema of the left orbit and maxillary sinus was revealed radiographically in an active phase of temporal arteritis. This is possibly caused by inflammatory changes of the soft tissues in these regions. Early signs of compromised retinal flow and anterior ischemic optic neuropathy were demonstrated with fluorescein angiography. This finding promoted early, immediate therapy.Entities:
