Smoking behaviour of White, Black, Coloured and Indian South Africans. Some statistical data on a major public health hazard.

An analysis of the smoking habits of the population groups in the Republic of South Africa indicates an alarmingly high incidence of smoking, particularly among Coloureds. Significant numbers of men and women in all the population groups, especially Whites, are former smokers.
