Abstract
Aortic infusion of prostaglandin E1 in a moribund infant resulted in marked clinical improvement. Appropriate studies were conducted and the diagnosis of hypoplastic left heart syndrome was made. Although the outcome was unaltered, the improved clinical condition allowed us to exclude potentially curable defects such as aortic coarctation and interruption.Entities:
