Abstract
Some aspects of quantitative assessment of senile and vascular changes in brains of old, demented people are discussed. Particular emphasis is placed upon neuritic plaque count and upon the amount of softened brain parenchyma relative to the degree of intellectual deterioration. The functional significance of the topography of ischemic lesions is stressed in some cases.Entities:
