Contralateral decrease of neostriatal dopamine concentration after unilateral pallidal lesion in the rat.

Z Hahn, L Lénárd, Z Karádi.

Abstract

Seven days after unilateral electrolytical and chemical (6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)) lesions in the globus pallidus ipsi- and contralateral neostrial dopamine (DA) concentrations were measured in rats. A definite contralateral DA-decrease was demonstrable, the extent of which was in correlation with ipsilateral decrease.
