Abstract
Evidence has been obtained that mouse immune ascitic fluids (IAF) can be successfully used as a source of specific globulins for direct immunofluorescence and native IAF for indirect immunofluorescence. Polyvalent and monovalent IAF to arboviruses of group A and B were used. The titre of IAF in indirect immunofluorescence (IF) correlated with that of complement-fixing antibodies. The correlation of the titres in direct and indirect IAF is expressed by a ratio of 1:8 to 1:10. The IAF with a complement-fixation titre not lower than 1:80 can be used for indirect IF or for the preparation of conjugates for direct IF.Entities:
