Abstract
There is some evidence to show that the immune response is suppressed in malnutrition but the mechanism is not entirely clear. A more complete understanding of nutritional-immunological relationships is important, especially for child health in developing countries. This memorandum discusses a general approach to the problem and proposes specific methods for investigating the effects of malnutrition on the immune response. Several field studies incorporating these proposals are now in progress.Entities:
