Abstract
A simple technique of splenic localization with 99mTc-labeled red blood cells is described. A blood sample is obtained 30 minutes after administration of nonradioactive pyrophosphate. Pertechnetate is added to the sample and the blood is incubated for 35 minutes at 49 degrees C. One to two hours after reinjection, selective spleen imaging can be performed.Entities:
