Abstract
Cranial thoracic diskospondylitis was diagnosed in 2 dogs. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from the vertebral lesion of both dogs, from the urine of one dog, and from the blood of the other dog. In each case, curettage of the affected disk and contiguous vertebrae was accomplished via thoracotomy. Both dogs recovered following curettage and antibiotic therapy.Entities:
