Abstract
Examination of the distribution of leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) activity in the male reproductive system showed the existence of the largest amounts of this enzyme in the prostate. Precipitin electrophoresis revealed that seminal LAP is immunologically identical with the prostatic enzyme and distinct from the enzymes in the other male reproductive organs. It was concluded that the origin of seminal LAP is the prostate, by which the enzyme is secreted into the seminal plasma.Entities:
