Demonstration of beam hardening correction in computed tomography of the head.

G T Herman.

Abstract

The efficacy of a method of removing artifacts due to beam hardening in computed tomography of the human head is demonstrated on a realistic, mathematically described phantom. An efficient implementation is discussed.
