Abstract
The indirect hemagglutination and immunodiffusion tests were compared for detection of antigen and antibody to JM strain of leukosis virus infection between S- and K-line chickens. The indirect hemagglutination test was more sensitive than the immunodiffusion test for detecting the smallest amount of viral antigen and corresponding antibody in the plasma of infected chickens. The Cornell S-line had higher levels of antigen and antibody as compared with the Cornell K-line during the 20-week experimental period.Entities:
