Extracellular nuclease in the genus Lactobacillus.

Abstract

Several species and strains of lactobicilli, Bacillus coagulans, and Sporolactobacillus inulinus produced detectable amounts of extracellular nuclease which hydrolyzed ribonucleic acid and deoxyribonucleic acid.
