Phosphorylation of methyl-alpha-D-glucopyranoside in polymyxin B-treated Salmonella typhimurium.

Abstract

Phosphoenolpyruvate-dependent phosphorylation of methyl-alpha-d-glucopyranoside in Salmonella typhimurium is increased by the membrane active polypeptide antibiotic polymyxin B whereas active transport ability is abolished.
