Abstract
A case of giant cell arteritis is reported. The presenting complaint was referable to the vertebral-basilar system. Visual symptoms and signs of vertebral-basilar, carotid, posterior ciliary, and branch central retinal arterial involvement are described. Blindness occurred on steroid therapy. Death resulted from steroid complications. The wide clinical spectrum and management of this condition are discussed.Entities:
