Sylvatic rabies studies in the silver fox (Vulpes vulpes). Susceptibility and immune response.

J G Black, K F Lawson.

Abstract

The trials reported here show that the fox is highly susceptible to rabies virus. Vaccination with ERA rabies vaccine was capable of protecting foxes against challenge with naturally occurring strains of sylvatic rabies.Oral immunization against rabies using ERA rabies vaccine was possible.
